Ebbing and Flowing

.

Remember the time we were driving through the vineyards?  you were behind the wheel like I knew you would be, but you swore you wouldn’t. We were smiling, serene. Then you pulled over and we bought strawberries from a little boy on his parents farm.  We ate them and they were the sweetest in the world.  You loved them and typically you don’t even like strawberries.  The sun was peeking from behind the hills lined yellow with leaves.  The clouds suspended above us, cotton candy on strings.  Cows grazing on emerald grasses swaying in the breeze.  There we still are.  Across space and time.
